Narrative:
Ground control cleared me to 'taxi to runway 32' (for VFR departure). I consulted the airport diagram and taxied toward runway 32, but I was confused at end of runway 32, and by diagram (stranger to the area) and taxied across end of runway 23 (active) on down the taxiway. I continued thinking I wasn't there yet. Controller was courteous and advised I make 180 degree turn and return to runway 32. I immediately realized my error, thanked ground controller for courtesy and apologized and complied. I did realize I was crossing a runway and I looked for traffic, but I didn't think it was my destination runway.

Title: A BE33 SINGLE PLT, TAXIING AT SGF, BECAME DISORIENTED AND CROSSED RWY 32 WITHOUT PERMISSION.
Narrative: GND CTL CLRED ME TO 'TAXI TO RWY 32' (FOR VFR DEP). I CONSULTED THE ARPT DIAGRAM AND TAXIED TOWARD RWY 32, BUT I WAS CONFUSED AT END OF RWY 32, AND BY DIAGRAM (STRANGER TO THE AREA) AND TAXIED ACROSS END OF RWY 23 (ACTIVE) ON DOWN THE TXWY. I CONTINUED THINKING I WASN'T THERE YET. CTLR WAS COURTEOUS AND ADVISED I MAKE 180 DEG TURN AND RETURN TO RWY 32. I IMMEDIATELY REALIZED MY ERROR, THANKED GND CTLR FOR COURTESY AND APOLOGIZED AND COMPLIED. I DID REALIZE I WAS XING A RWY AND I LOOKED FOR TFC, BUT I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS MY DEST RWY.
