Narrative:
Aircraft #1 had checked on frequency and due to complexity he was answered. Coordination was then issued to a sector to stop aircraft #1 at lower altitude. They acknowledged and thought I was talking about a separate aircraft. They did not follow up and I thought aircraft was stopped at lower altitude. Supplemental information from acn 623857: we thought aircraft Y was stopped at FL220 but he was actually climbing to FL240.
