Narrative:

Cruising at FL370, received clearance to descend to FL290. Shortly thereafter, the controller gave clearance to expedite through FL330 on the way to FL290. Seconds after this clearance, we received a TCASII TA. This moment the controller (with urgency in his or her voice) issued the clearance to turn left 40 degrees. We then received a 'climb' RA. The captain (PF) disconnected the autoplt and began increasing pitch. Seeing no climb due to our heavy descent I assisted the captain in pulling the yoke back. We got a slight wing buffet as the engines spooled from idle. The last readout on the TCASII display (10 mi range) showed us on top of the threat aircraft within 200 ft separation and decreasing. We eventually began climbing until the 'clear of conflict' was heard on TCASII. At this point the captain queried the controllers regarding the incident and we completed our in-range duties.

Title: B717 FLT CREW WITH ZKC AT FL370 EXPERIENCED TCASII RA WITH B737 DURING DSCNT.

Narrative: CRUISING AT FL370, RECEIVED CLRNC TO DSND TO FL290. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, THE CTLR GAVE CLRNC TO EXPEDITE THROUGH FL330 ON THE WAY TO FL290. SECONDS AFTER THIS CLRNC, WE RECEIVED A TCASII TA. THIS MOMENT THE CTLR (WITH URGENCY IN HIS OR HER VOICE) ISSUED THE CLRNC TO TURN L 40 DEGS. WE THEN RECEIVED A 'CLB' RA. THE CAPT (PF) DISCONNECTED THE AUTOPLT AND BEGAN INCREASING PITCH. SEEING NO CLB DUE TO OUR HVY DSCNT I ASSISTED THE CAPT IN PULLING THE YOKE BACK. WE GOT A SLIGHT WING BUFFET AS THE ENGS SPOOLED FROM IDLE. THE LAST READOUT ON THE TCASII DISPLAY (10 MI RANGE) SHOWED US ON TOP OF THE THREAT ACFT WITHIN 200 FT SEPARATION AND DECREASING. WE EVENTUALLY BEGAN CLBING UNTIL THE 'CLR OF CONFLICT' WAS HEARD ON TCASII. AT THIS POINT THE CAPT QUERIED THE CTLRS REGARDING THE INCIDENT AND WE COMPLETED OUR IN-RANGE DUTIES.
