Narrative:
Our PA28 was doing touch and go takeoff and lndgs in the pattern. Tower cleared us for the landing, we reported on right base. A citation jet was on final, the controller stated that cle approach never turned the citation over to bkl tower until he was 1 mi final for the ILS runway. We had to go around to avoid being overtaken by the jet, as we had turned in front of him. The second incident occurred 10 mins later when the local bkl controller cleared us to land in front of a landing learjet, necessitating a 360 degree evasive turn by us.
