Narrative:
While deviating around WX, center advised us to turn right to avoid traffic. We said we were unable as that would have put us into a thunderstorm. He replied that we had to turn or declare an emergency. We said ok, and he said ok, and then we were able to turn slightly in the direction he wanted. No further comments were made concerning the declaration and we were handed off to another frequency. We are not sure whether anything was declared or not. No further mention was made by anyone.
