Narrative:
Captain and I both checked fuel quantity for distribution and quantity, comparing it with the weight and balance and flight plan. Neither of us noticed that the outboard tank quantities, while roughly equal, were less than the full quantities for an A300. The outer tanks read full for an A310, both reading approximately 7900 pounds. The outers should have been filled to 8200 pounds. We noticed the discrepancy after leveloff in cruise and we switched to manual fuel feed to force burn from the center tank. We landed with left outer 6660 pounds, left inner 5640 pounds, center 30, trim 0, right inner 5720 pounds, right outer 6310 pounds. Contributing factor was that both pilots had been flying A310's for several days prior to this event.

Title: DURING PREFLT, FLT CREW OF A300 BOTH FAIL TO NOTE OUTBOARD MAIN TANKS LESS THAN FULL WITH CTR TANK FUEL BOARDED. MANUALLY CTLED FUEL FEED SEQUENCE TO AMELIORATE THE DISCREPANCY PRIOR TO LNDG.

WE LANDED WITH L OUTER 6660 LBS, L INNER 5640 LBS, CTR 30, TRIM 0, R INNER 5720 LBS, R OUTER 6310 LBS. CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS THAT BOTH PLTS HAD BEEN FLYING A310'S FOR SEVERAL DAYS PRIOR TO THIS EVENT.
