Narrative:
Aircraft X arrived in ZZZ as flight abc with a pilot discrepancy write-up that flaps inadvertently selected at approximately 218 KTS. Maintenance accomplished inspection of the aircraft per maintenance manual 05-51-06 and no defects were found related to overspd selection of flaps. During this inspection we did find 6 each screws missing for the outboard flap leading edge skin. These screws were located at the inboard flap hinge of the outboard flap. The missing screws were not visible with flaps in the 'up' position, the hinge fairing covered them, but they were visible with flaps in the down position. No other screws were located inside the fairing for the leading edge skin. Maintenance replaced the missing screws and washers per douglas drawing 5913560 and the aircraft airworthiness reinstated.

Narrative: ACFT X ARRIVED IN ZZZ AS FLT ABC WITH A PLT DISCREPANCY WRITE-UP THAT FLAPS INADVERTENTLY SELECTED AT APPROX 218 KTS. MAINT ACCOMPLISHED INSPECTION OF THE ACFT PER MAINT MANUAL 05-51-06 AND NO DEFECTS WERE FOUND RELATED TO OVERSPD SELECTION OF FLAPS. DURING THIS INSPECTION WE DID FIND 6 EACH SCREWS MISSING FOR THE OUTBOARD FLAP LEADING EDGE SKIN. THESE SCREWS WERE LOCATED AT THE INBOARD FLAP HINGE OF THE OUTBOARD FLAP. NO OTHER SCREWS WERE LOCATED INSIDE THE FAIRING FOR THE LEADING EDGE SKIN. MAINT REPLACED THE MISSING SCREWS AND WASHERS PER DOUGLAS DRAWING 5913560 AND THE ACFT AIRWORTHINESS REINSTATED.
