Narrative:
Aircraft X swbound at FL350 in confliction with act Y. Aircraft X was turned 30 degrees right but read back 30 degrees left. I reissued the 30 degree right turn. I also turned aircraft Y 30 degrees left and descended him to FL310. Aedp activated before vertical separation was attained. Attention was diverted to aircraft Z who had no operating transponder.

Title: ZID ARTCC RADAR CTLR FAILED IN AN ATTEMPT TO SEPARATE OPPOSITE TFC AT FL350 BY TURNING ACFT BOTH TO THE R AND DSNDING ONE TO FL310.
Narrative: ACFT X SWBOUND AT FL350 IN CONFLICTION WITH ACT Y. ACFT X WAS TURNED 30 DEGS R BUT READ BACK 30 DEGS L. I REISSUED THE 30 DEG R TURN.
