Narrative:

As a pipeline pilot, I flew to east texas where I spent approximately 5 hours on pipeline patrol. I stopped only once to refuel. Upon my return to metroplex I proceeded north to go around class D. I was intercepted by 2 F16's. I rocked my wings, tuned in 121.5 immediately and idented myself. I was then diverted and was met by local auths. I answered all questions, handed all identify and licenses for copy and was released. I did not contact a flight briefer that morning. I was unaware of the tfr.
