Narrative:
I have used the closed airbase at castle for the last 3 yrs. This saturday I went to perform touch and go lndgs. I called the unicom 5 mi out and again at 45 degrees to the right hand traffic for runway 31. Another pilot had just left the field, reported departing area. As I turned to base for runway 31, I noticed a small plastic X at the runway 31 end, with new asphalt up to midfield. There (at midfield) appeared to be a yellow line across the field with yellow chevrons before it. I thought that this was new construction with a displaced threshold at midfield, to avoid the new construction. I was informed by unicom operator after 3 or 4 touch-and-go turns, the whole field was closed, with a new runway set up on the old taxiway. On the next pattern I did see the new runway 31 painted on the old taxiway and proceeded to land on the appropriate position on the field. I'm very sorry for my mistake, it was not done intentionally.

Title: C182 PLT CONDUCTS TOUCH AND GO LNDGS ON CLOSED RWY AT MER.
Narrative: I HAVE USED THE CLOSED AIRBASE AT CASTLE FOR THE LAST 3 YRS. THIS SATURDAY I WENT TO PERFORM TOUCH AND GO LNDGS. I CALLED THE UNICOM 5 MI OUT AND AGAIN AT 45 DEGS TO THE R HAND TFC FOR RWY 31. ANOTHER PLT HAD JUST LEFT THE FIELD, RPTED DEPARTING AREA. AS I TURNED TO BASE FOR RWY 31, I NOTICED A SMALL PLASTIC X AT THE RWY 31 END, WITH NEW ASPHALT UP TO MIDFIELD. I WAS INFORMED BY UNICOM OPERATOR AFTER 3 OR 4 TOUCH-AND-GO TURNS, THE WHOLE FIELD WAS CLOSED, WITH A NEW RWY SET UP ON THE OLD TXWY. ON THE NEXT PATTERN I DID SEE THE NEW RWY 31 PAINTED ON THE OLD TXWY AND PROCEEDED TO LAND ON THE APPROPRIATE POS ON THE FIELD. I'M VERY SORRY FOR MY MISTAKE, IT WAS NOT DONE INTENTIONALLY.
