Air Traffic Incident | Operational Error |
Narrative:
While conducting ojti (on the job training instructor), sector was becoming busy with aircraft because of chop above our sector. Traffic was increasing and had a northbound aircraft X at FL290 and an eastbound aircraft Y. Aircraft Y turned down the airway at the edge of the sector and issued turns on northbound aircraft X to avoid aircraft Y. Supplemental information from an 627301: while training on my first session at the sector, the sector became busy and I was overwhelmed with calls and increasing traffic. Aircraft Y turned down the airway at the sector boundary, the trainer observed the turn and issued turns to aircraft Y and aircraft X.
