Narrative:
Mr X and myself were contacted by our management to report to ZZZ for a field trip. Mr X and I grabbed our tools and headed off to the gate. When we arrived in ZZZ we noticed they had no computers, so we contacted maintenance center for all the proper paperwork to complete the task of removing and replacing the main landing gear retract cylinder. Maintenance center sent us the maintenance manual paperwork but no mpm (maintenance procedure manual) to state that an rii (required item inspection) was required. We accomplished the main landing gear retract cylinder as per maintenance manual but never signed rii.
