Narrative:
Right engine failed just prior to gate arrival. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the engine was a rolls royce trent and on taxi into the gate when the right engine spooled down then failed. The reporter said no report was submitted to the crew by maintenance but second hand information was the fuel control was the problem. The reporter stated the information may be inaccurate as to the exact component.

Title: A B777-200 ON TAXI IN AND BEFORE ARR AT THE GATE HAD THE R ENG SPOOL DOWN AND FAIL.
Narrative: R ENG FAILED JUST PRIOR TO GATE ARR. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE ENG WAS A ROLLS ROYCE TRENT AND ON TAXI INTO THE GATE WHEN THE R ENG SPOOLED DOWN THEN FAILED. THE RPTR SAID NO RPT WAS SUBMITTED TO THE CREW BY MAINT BUT SECOND HAND INFO WAS THE FUEL CTL WAS THE PROB. THE RPTR STATED THE INFO MAY BE INACCURATE AS TO THE EXACT COMPONENT.
