Narrative:
Upon normal taxi out after #2 engine start, I failed to notice that flight directors were not on. After setting of takeoff power, I then saw that FMA annunciations on pfd were not correct. Then realizing that flight directors were off, I cycled them on, but saw no change to the FMA's. Upon seeing V2 bug at 100 KTS coming into view (which is not normal), I decided to abort. I told the first officer to notify tower and standby. Passenger were told to stay seated. We taxied off runway 25R. Shortly aircraft was stopped on ramp. I notified operations to have chocks and fans brought out to aircraft which took unusually long. Wheels were chocked and fans on. In the interim I called up dispatch and asked for maintenance to come up on frequency. Maintenance decided to have external inspection done. At some interval we were told that all 4 tire fuse plugs had melted. It was a normal taxi, even though we were delayed initially out of lax.

Title: AN A320 CAPT RPTED THAT HE MADE AN RTO AT LAS AFTER REALIZING HE HAD NOT TURNED ON THE FLT DIRECTOR.
Narrative: UPON NORMAL TAXI OUT AFTER #2 ENG START, I FAILED TO NOTICE THAT FLT DIRECTORS WERE NOT ON. AFTER SETTING OF TKOF PWR, I THEN SAW THAT FMA ANNUNCIATIONS ON PFD WERE NOT CORRECT. THEN REALIZING THAT FLT DIRECTORS WERE OFF, I CYCLED THEM ON, BUT SAW NO CHANGE TO THE FMA'S. UPON SEEING V2 BUG AT 100 KTS COMING INTO VIEW (WHICH IS NOT NORMAL), I DECIDED TO ABORT. I TOLD THE FO TO NOTIFY TWR AND STANDBY. PAX WERE TOLD TO STAY SEATED. WE TAXIED OFF RWY 25R. SHORTLY ACFT WAS STOPPED ON RAMP. I NOTIFIED OPS TO HAVE CHOCKS AND FANS BROUGHT OUT TO ACFT WHICH TOOK UNUSUALLY LONG. WHEELS WERE CHOCKED AND FANS ON. IN THE INTERIM I CALLED UP DISPATCH AND ASKED FOR MAINT TO COME UP ON FREQ. MAINT DECIDED TO HAVE EXTERNAL INSPECTION DONE. AT SOME INTERVAL WE WERE TOLD THAT ALL 4 TIRE FUSE PLUGS HAD MELTED. IT WAS A NORMAL TAXI, EVEN THOUGH WE WERE DELAYED INITIALLY OUT OF LAX.
