Narrative:
Left cgz at night going to E78. Couldn't find airport. Local police were going to light runway for me. Couldn't find their lights. Wound up somewhere in mexican airspace. Was low on fuel. I dialed 121.5 and 7700 squawk, got a hold of tucson approach. They said to fly 030 degree heading. I flew to ryn for fuel and talked to united states customs representative. She told me to let someone know with this incident report. Gauges said I was out of fuel, but still had 13.7 gals of fuel. I was ok but didn't know it at the time. I'm sorry and it won't happen again.
