Narrative:
Landed after uneventful flight. As I taxied to ramp, I thought a bird almost hit my windshield. Turned out to be the cowl oil injection door! Told ground and they advised airport operations who retrieved it for me. It appears the pin in the latch failed. Into maintenance tomorrow!

Narrative: LANDED AFTER UNEVENTFUL FLT. AS I TAXIED TO RAMP, I THOUGHT A BIRD ALMOST HIT MY WINDSHIELD. TURNED OUT TO BE THE COWL OIL INJECTION DOOR! TOLD GND AND THEY ADVISED ARPT OPS WHO RETRIEVED IT FOR ME. IT APPEARS THE PIN IN THE LATCH FAILED. INTO MAINT TOMORROW!
