Narrative:
B737-300/500 ZZZ captain 'fatigue, fatigue, fatigue.' here is how my last 10 days have gone: 3-DAY trip turned into a 4-DAY trip with an add-on. Moved my rdo (reserve days off) to tack-on a 2-DAY trip. Maxed out with a 30 in 7 (30 hours in 7 days, maximum time). One day off. Aggressively picked up a 3-DAY trip. Tried to turn it into a 4-DAY trip to cover lack of coverage in ord. Enough is enough. I'm fatigued and this has been accumulating over the last several months. Air carrier needs to make changes immediately. These add-ONS are making me sick. I will not allow this company to negatively impact my health. Fatigue is not the result of not getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night but the result of accumulative excessive scheduling and stress. Is anybody listening out there? The capts are in need of relief. There is no time to recover from these trips. More than 90 hours/month is not sustainable.
