Narrative:
15 mins prior to touchdown aircraft severely dropped down, then up. I was thrown to the ceiling hitting head and thrown down on floor. Woke up in aisle. Multiple contusions to my legs, arms. Neck strain. Captain should have had us situation down earlier. We were experiencing turbulence for approximately 45 mins. Supplemental information from acn 634923: when the captain made the prepare for landing PA, we started our compliance checks. This requires getting out of our jumpseats. We were experiencing turbulence on and off during descent. We seated ourselves until the PA. The WX was bad. If flight attendants were told to prepare the cabin a bit earlier in light of the WX, it may have been avoided.
