Narrative:
On a flight from lbe to fdk, about 15 mi out of fredrick, I noticed a jet crossing in front of me 500-700 ft above and 1-1 1/2 mi out. At the time, I thought the jet was landing at mrb at my 5 O'clock position. As I started my descent, I noticed a jet off my left side rocking his wings. I assumed it was the same jet. I immediately switched 121.5 from my #2 radio to my #1 radio, but I heard nothing. The jet broke off to his left in a climb. After contacting frederick unicom, I was advised to check in at the front desk at the FBO after landing. I was given a phone number to contact ATC. ATC asked if I was aware of P-40, and I advised him I was indeed aware of it. I asked is this what this phone call was about. He said yes, that I had touched the south border of P-40. I asked him if he had the correct aircraft for I had downloaded my flight onto my handheld GPS and it had shown me not being in P-40. I told him I was deeply sorry and apparently my GPS map was wrong. I relied too much on my GPS and now realize I should have taken a wider route around P-40 using my VOR and land markings.
