Narrative:
After landing on runway 4R ord, clearance was, roll to end of runway, exit, contact ground control.' captain elected to turn off on taxiway Q, in violation of ATC clearance. This had potential to conflict with /cause loss of separation with traffic landing runway 9R. I reminded him that we were supposed to exit at the end of the runway, not taxiway Q, but he turned off anyway. This captain displayed a poor attitude over a 4 day trip, caused by our company being in financial difficulties, and his financial losses, as well as marital problems. In short, he is distraction. I intend to have a talk with him before our next trip, and pay extra attention to his flying.
