Narrative:
With the engine driven pumps operating, the pressures were as shown on the log page. According to the initial write-up, the pressure was within limits reference maintenance manual 29-00-00 since the pumps produce approximately 3000 psi. To me, this meant that only the over pressure relief pressure of 3600 psi was the governing pressure, to wit my decision of no action.

Title: AN MD80 WAS DISPATCHED WITH NO ACTION ON A RPTED ENG DRIVE HYD PUMP PRESSURE AT 3600 PSI PRESSURE OUT OF LIMITS.
Narrative: WITH THE ENG DRIVEN PUMPS OPERATING, THE PRESSURES WERE AS SHOWN ON THE LOG PAGE. ACCORDING TO THE INITIAL WRITE-UP, THE PRESSURE WAS WITHIN LIMITS REF MAINT MANUAL 29-00-00 SINCE THE PUMPS PRODUCE APPROX 3000 PSI. TO ME, THIS MEANT THAT ONLY THE OVER PRESSURE RELIEF PRESSURE OF 3600 PSI WAS THE GOVERNING PRESSURE, TO WIT MY DECISION OF NO ACTION.
