Narrative:
Climbing out of adams field, little rock, ar. Upon attempting to engage autoplt, airplane went into steep stall-inducing climb. Altitude changed about 300 ft to 500 ft before I decided it was autoplt error and began hand flying.

Title: DURING A NIGHT OP, A C414 PLT TEMPORARILY LOSES CTL OF HIS ACFT DURING INITIAL CLB AT 3000 FT DUE TO AN AUTOPLT MALFUNCTION OUT OF LIT.
Narrative: CLBING OUT OF ADAMS FIELD, LITTLE ROCK, AR. UPON ATTEMPTING TO ENGAGE AUTOPLT, AIRPLANE WENT INTO STEEP STALL-INDUCING CLB. ALT CHANGED ABOUT 300 FT TO 500 FT BEFORE I DECIDED IT WAS AUTOPLT ERROR AND BEGAN HAND FLYING.
