Narrative:
On descent into bwi, encountered 2 to 3 severe bumps, declared severe turbulence over ATC frequency as well as moderate rime ice. Reports to that point had been moderate chop and light ice. Both pilots were thrown against seatbelts and objects were thrown about the cockpit. On arrival at bwi, asked for severe turbulence inspection. Was shown the maintenance description of severe turbulence. I was questioned about the event at least 3 separate times. Felt that there was an effort being made by dispatch at maintenance to get us to change our reports of severe turbulence and retract the write-up. Felt that dispatch didn't want the delay and the mechanic didn't want to do the inspection and they all wanted the event to go away!
