Narrative:

We were cleared for the approach to runway 6 at teb, nj, GS OTS. The reported visibility was 2 1/2 mi, rain and mist, ceiling 900 mi overcast. The approach was uneventful. After touchdown, tower asked if we could make taxiway left. My copilot replied we would try due to rain and mist the only taxiway marker we could see was taxiway C. The tower came on and said 'you missed taxiway left. I thought you told me you could make taxiway left.' I replied 'we missed it.' tower replied 'hold short of runway 1.' we complied. I asked what he would like me to do. Tower replied 'do a quick 180 degree turn back to taxiway left, as I have traffic on a 2 mi final.' I complied. I did the 180 degree turn and could see nothing but taxiway C marker. Tower came on and said 'you missed taxiway left again.' tower instructed the aircraft on final to go around. Just as he was saying this, I found taxiway left and exited the runway. I advised I was clear of runway 6. I was instructed to go to ground. I received taxi instruction via taxiway left and taxiway J to parking. I am very sorry the other aircraft had to go around. I feel because of rain and visibility I could not find the taxiway left marker. Taxiway C just jumped out at you. I also feel the tower had the aircraft spaced too close together for a localizer only approach with deteriorating WX conditions. I also feel the taxiway left marker is hidden behind taxiway C. I believe if the tower had instructed me to exit taxiway C to join taxiway left would have been much easier.

Title: FLT CREW OF PAY4 UNABLE TO LOCATE RWY EXIT REQUESTED BY LCL CTLR AT TEB DUE TO RESTR VISIBILITY AND OBSCURED SIGNAGE AT RWY EXITS. RESULTED IN A GAR.

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR THE APCH TO RWY 6 AT TEB, NJ, GS OTS. THE RPTED VISIBILITY WAS 2 1/2 MI, RAIN AND MIST, CEILING 900 MI OVCST. THE APCH WAS UNEVENTFUL. AFTER TOUCHDOWN, TWR ASKED IF WE COULD MAKE TXWY L. MY COPLT REPLIED WE WOULD TRY DUE TO RAIN AND MIST THE ONLY TXWY MARKER WE COULD SEE WAS TXWY C. THE TWR CAME ON AND SAID 'YOU MISSED TXWY L. I THOUGHT YOU TOLD ME YOU COULD MAKE TXWY L.' I REPLIED 'WE MISSED IT.' TWR REPLIED 'HOLD SHORT OF RWY 1.' WE COMPLIED. I ASKED WHAT HE WOULD LIKE ME TO DO. TWR REPLIED 'DO A QUICK 180 DEG TURN BACK TO TXWY L, AS I HAVE TFC ON A 2 MI FINAL.' I COMPLIED. I DID THE 180 DEG TURN AND COULD SEE NOTHING BUT TXWY C MARKER. TWR CAME ON AND SAID 'YOU MISSED TXWY L AGAIN.' TWR INSTRUCTED THE ACFT ON FINAL TO GO AROUND. JUST AS HE WAS SAYING THIS, I FOUND TXWY L AND EXITED THE RWY. I ADVISED I WAS CLR OF RWY 6. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO GO TO GND. I RECEIVED TAXI INSTRUCTION VIA TXWY L AND TXWY J TO PARKING. I AM VERY SORRY THE OTHER ACFT HAD TO GO AROUND. I FEEL BECAUSE OF RAIN AND VISIBILITY I COULD NOT FIND THE TXWY L MARKER. TXWY C JUST JUMPED OUT AT YOU. I ALSO FEEL THE TWR HAD THE ACFT SPACED TOO CLOSE TOGETHER FOR A LOC ONLY APCH WITH DETERIORATING WX CONDITIONS. I ALSO FEEL THE TXWY L MARKER IS HIDDEN BEHIND TXWY C. I BELIEVE IF THE TWR HAD INSTRUCTED ME TO EXIT TXWY C TO JOIN TXWY L WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH EASIER.
