Narrative:
I received a call today that a report submitted was being considered by the FAA for exclusion from the program. We had just flown this same aircraft. It was my takeoff on runway 35L. On the runway, I pushed the power up to 1.4 EPR and called for autothrottles. Captain took control of the throttles while I looked outside to maneuver the aircraft down the runway. Captain then aborted the takeoff. Speed less than 60 KTS. He said the right engine had hung up at 1.6 EPR. I never had time to check the engine indications. We turned off the runway at the first exit. We asked the tower to be able to run up the engine. When we ran the engine up, all indications were normal. We elected to continue to cos. All subsequent engine indications during the flight were normal.

Title: MD80 CREW REJECTS TKOF QUESTIONING ENG PERFORMANCE. FOLLOWING NORMAL ENG RUN-UP, SECOND TKOF WAS NORMAL.
Narrative: I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY THAT A RPT SUBMITTED WAS BEING CONSIDERED BY THE FAA FOR EXCLUSION FROM THE PROGRAM. WE HAD JUST FLOWN THIS SAME ACFT. IT WAS MY TKOF ON RWY 35L. ON THE RWY, I PUSHED THE PWR UP TO 1.4 EPR AND CALLED FOR AUTOTHROTTLES. CAPT TOOK CTL OF THE THROTTLES WHILE I LOOKED OUTSIDE TO MANEUVER THE ACFT DOWN THE RWY. CAPT THEN ABORTED THE TKOF. SPD LESS THAN 60 KTS. HE SAID THE R ENG HAD HUNG UP AT 1.6 EPR. I NEVER HAD TIME TO CHK THE ENG INDICATIONS. WE TURNED OFF THE RWY AT THE FIRST EXIT. WE ASKED THE TWR TO BE ABLE TO RUN UP THE ENG. WHEN WE RAN THE ENG UP, ALL INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL. WE ELECTED TO CONTINUE TO COS. ALL SUBSEQUENT ENG INDICATIONS DURING THE FLT WERE NORMAL.
