Narrative:

Aircraft center tank drain cones were removed. Paperwork was unclr that they were to be removed. No warning tags were written that they were removed in a location that they could be missed. No non/routine work cards were written declaring that they were removed. The paperwork that might have found that they were removed was for different location of the aircraft (fuel tank interior); as opposed to area underneath fuel tank. Result: aircraft flew about 1 month before parts that were not installed were noticed and determined to belong to that aircraft. (Meaning aircraft was not sumped for that period of time.) the aircraft was then scheduled in and missing parts were then reinstalled. The paperwork is being revised so this incident should not happen again.
