Narrative:
Cruising at FL240; lost #1 engine; diverted to ZZZ for a normal landing. No fire or smoke reported. Declared emergency in-flight. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter said no noise or boom; the engine just stopped running. A visual check up the tailpipe when on the ground indicated extensive turbine blade damage. The maintenance action was to replace the engine.

Narrative: CRUISING AT FL240; LOST #1 ENG; DIVERTED TO ZZZ FOR A NORMAL LNDG. NO FIRE OR SMOKE RPTED. DECLARED EMER INFLT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR SAID NO NOISE OR BOOM; THE ENG JUST STOPPED RUNNING. A VISUAL CHK UP THE TAILPIPE WHEN ON THE GND INDICATED EXTENSIVE TURBINE BLADE DAMAGE. THE MAINT ACTION WAS TO REPLACE THE ENG.
