Narrative:

While cleared for visual approach to runway 24 (sce); I started descent to 3100 ft for the marker (penue intersection). At approximately 3200 ft; I received an aural warning 'terrain; terrain' at which time I put maximum thrust and climbed back up to approximately 4200 ft. I then started my descent again to 3100 ft at penue for a non eventful landing at sce airport.

Narrative: WHILE CLRED FOR VISUAL APCH TO RWY 24 (SCE); I STARTED DSCNT TO 3100 FT FOR THE MARKER (PENUE INTXN).
