Narrative:
B744 on final runway 28L at sfo; B733 on final runway 28R. B744 instructed to not overtake B733. It was visually impossible to detect the overtake on the racd or out the window. The first indication of an overtake was via asde; at which point it is not wise to send the aircraft around.
