Narrative:
I was informed that a slide was received without the lanyard disconnected, and the bottle was not disarmed. I am not sure if I did not install the safety pin. I would appreciate some hands on training, coming from a shop I was not aware of this new type slide. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated a new type slide is coming out and described a flag or ribbon attached to the bottle pin to alert the technician to remove the bottle pin and place it in a yellow pouch for shipping. The technician said the job card has not been revised to call attention to this new slide feature and no training has been given on the slide.
