Narrative:
We were given the following taxi instructions from terminal gate: 'taxi to runway 13 via taxiway D and taxiway a; hold short runway 13.' we followed instructions. Both pilots visually checked for traffic on runway 17 and did not see any traffic. As we crossed runway 17; ground control instructed us to hold short runway 17. Both pilots then saw conflict with BE36 on landing roll. I proceeded to expedite across runway 17 since our present position put both aircraft in jeopardy. After further review by both pilots; the following is our summation: copilot read back taxi instructions as they were given to us with the hold short clearance of runway 13. The only possible explanation that we can conclude is that ground control misspoke with hold short instructions. Our correct readback of his taxi instructions was not recognized by tower as being erroneous. No further inquiries were made. The BE36 was turning off the runway 17 when we entered the controled area of runway 17.

Title: CARJ FLT CREW TAXIING FOR DEP AT SUX OBSERVED TFC LNDG ON RWY 17 AS THEY WERE ABOUT TO CROSS RWY 17 FOR RWY 13 AS CLRED BY ATC.
Narrative: WE WERE GIVEN THE FOLLOWING TAXI INSTRUCTIONS FROM TERMINAL GATE: 'TAXI TO RWY 13 VIA TXWY D AND TXWY A; HOLD SHORT RWY 13.' WE FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS. BOTH PLTS VISUALLY CHKED FOR TFC ON RWY 17 AND DID NOT SEE ANY TFC. AS WE CROSSED RWY 17; GND CTL INSTRUCTED US TO HOLD SHORT RWY 17. BOTH PLTS THEN SAW CONFLICT WITH BE36 ON LNDG ROLL. I PROCEEDED TO EXPEDITE ACROSS RWY 17 SINCE OUR PRESENT POS PUT BOTH ACFT IN JEOPARDY. AFTER FURTHER REVIEW BY BOTH PLTS; THE FOLLOWING IS OUR SUMMATION: COPLT READ BACK TAXI INSTRUCTIONS AS THEY WERE GIVEN TO US WITH THE HOLD SHORT CLRNC OF RWY 13. THE ONLY POSSIBLE EXPLANATION THAT WE CAN CONCLUDE IS THAT GND CTL MISSPOKE WITH HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTIONS. OUR CORRECT READBACK OF HIS TAXI INSTRUCTIONS WAS NOT RECOGNIZED BY TWR AS BEING ERRONEOUS. NO FURTHER INQUIRIES WERE MADE. THE BE36 WAS TURNING OFF THE RWY 17 WHEN WE ENTERED THE CTLED AREA OF RWY 17.
