Narrative:
A flap hinge fairing seal retainer was to be repaired/replaced on dec/fri/04. A ZZZ mechanic signed off the item as svcable. On jan/sun/05; I discovered this. The aircraft was in ZZZ1 for overnight. The next flight was to ZZZ. I changed the no-fix/no-fly date ti jan/sun/05; notified ZZZ that it was a no-fix/no-fly and followed up that night to ensure the repair was done.
