Narrative:
Departing runway 24 on the teb 5 departure. We climbed through 1500 ft before reaching 4.5 teb VOR DME fix. When excursion detected aircraft climbed more than (300 ft) 1800 ft MSL before corrective action. Controller advised of altitude and suggest we review carefully the altitude requirements of the departure. No other aircraft involved. Corrective recommendation: better crew coordination and verification of altitude pre-select and autoplt capture modes.
