Narrative:

I was on a VFR flight from ZZZ1 direct ZZZ2 direct ZZZ3. About 1 1/2 hours into my flight; I was at 10500 ft MSL; clear skies; and all of a sudden a mist came from nowhere. Within seconds; my wings iced up. I lost my airspeed indicator. The plane went into a right stall bank. At about 3000 ft; the ice broke loose. I got control of the plane. I lost all navigation and communication. I reset my circuit breakers and put pitot heat on. Everything went back to normal. I resumed my flight to ZZZ3. This whole situation took about 20 mins to 1/2 hour. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: pilot stated he was in a hazy; misty VMC layer. The icing occurred over a period of about 5 mins before he lost control.
