Narrative:
I cleared a beech 1900 for a visual approach to runway 6L to follow a B737 that was landing on runway 6R. The B737 was cleared for a visual to runway 6R to follow a B747. Tower controller asked for communication and control of all aircraft; then allowed beech 1900 to pass aircraft #2. In trail wake turbulence separation was lost between aircraft #1; the B747; and aircraft #3; the beech. Beech had all preceding aircraft in sight; but tower controller failed to say magic words 'maintain visual separation' to beech. The operational error was charged to me; the approach controller; for political reasons.

Title: A11 CTLR CHRONICLES OPERROR CHARGED TO HIM OR HER REGARDING A LOSS OF WAKE TURB SEPARATION AFTER CTL WAS XFERRED TO LCL CTLR.
Narrative: I CLRED A BEECH 1900 FOR A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 6L TO FOLLOW A B737 THAT WAS LNDG ON RWY 6R. THE B737 WAS CLRED FOR A VISUAL TO RWY 6R TO FOLLOW A B747. TWR CTLR ASKED FOR COM AND CTL OF ALL ACFT; THEN ALLOWED BEECH 1900 TO PASS ACFT #2. IN TRAIL WAKE TURB SEPARATION WAS LOST BTWN ACFT #1; THE B747; AND ACFT #3; THE BEECH. BEECH HAD ALL PRECEDING ACFT IN SIGHT; BUT TWR CTLR FAILED TO SAY MAGIC WORDS 'MAINTAIN VISUAL SEPARATION' TO BEECH. THE OPERROR WAS CHARGED TO ME; THE APCH CTLR; FOR POLITICAL REASONS.
