Narrative:

Air carrier X at FL290. Aircraft Y crossing below at FL280. Air carrier X advised he was climbing because traffic below was climbing (TCASII RA). Aircraft Y advised trim tabs (pitch trim) caused him to climb and was having trouble getting it to go back down; and may have to return. After traffic diverged; air carrier X advised he was descending back to FL290 from FL300. Aircraft Y thought he had the problem under control; but would keep an eye on it.

Title: ZOB CTLR CHRONICLES ALT SEPARATION LOSS AS C560 EXPERIENCING PITCH TRIM PROBS CAUSED MD80 TO CLB ABOVE ASSIGNED ALT BECAUSE OF TCASII RA.

Narrative: ACR X AT FL290. ACFT Y XING BELOW AT FL280. ACR X ADVISED HE WAS CLBING BECAUSE TFC BELOW WAS CLBING (TCASII RA). ACFT Y ADVISED TRIM TABS (PITCH TRIM) CAUSED HIM TO CLB AND WAS HAVING TROUBLE GETTING IT TO GO BACK DOWN; AND MAY HAVE TO RETURN. AFTER TFC DIVERGED; ACR X ADVISED HE WAS DSNDING BACK TO FL290 FROM FL300. ACFT Y THOUGHT HE HAD THE PROB UNDER CTL; BUT WOULD KEEP AN EYE ON IT.
