Narrative:
While flying from tzr to lhq; we asked permission from lck to transition their airspace at 2200 ft. Permission was given to continue to lhq. Shortly after; we spotted a large jet approaching at our 10 O'clock position at approximately the same altitude. No TA was given by controller. We turned (left) to a parallel course in the opposite direction of the heavy; it was about 2 mi ahead of us. After the heavy was almost ready to touch down; we turned back toward our destination. We expected a little turbulence when we approached the flight path. That was not the case! No bumps; no rough air; just a very hard slam that caused the door to fly open and our heads hit the top of the cabin. We returned back to tzr and noticed that the right wing had a wrinkle in the leading edge.

Narrative: WHILE FLYING FROM TZR TO LHQ; WE ASKED PERMISSION FROM LCK TO TRANSITION THEIR AIRSPACE AT 2200 FT. PERMISSION WAS GIVEN TO CONTINUE TO LHQ. SHORTLY AFTER; WE SPOTTED A LARGE JET APCHING AT OUR 10 O'CLOCK POS AT APPROX THE SAME ALT. NO TA WAS GIVEN BY CTLR. WE TURNED (L) TO A PARALLEL COURSE IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE HVY; IT WAS ABOUT 2 MI AHEAD OF US. AFTER THE HVY WAS ALMOST READY TO TOUCH DOWN; WE TURNED BACK TOWARD OUR DEST. WE EXPECTED A LITTLE TURB WHEN WE APCHED THE FLT PATH. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE! NO BUMPS; NO ROUGH AIR; JUST A VERY HARD SLAM THAT CAUSED THE DOOR TO FLY OPEN AND OUR HEADS HIT THE TOP OF THE CABIN.
