Narrative:
Aircraft Y nwbound at FL360. Aircraft X wbound at FL360. Winds strong out of northeast. Turned aircraft X 15 degrees left to go behind the aircraft Y. Aircraft X picked up speed as he turned out of the wind. Turned act X another 10 degrees left. Moments later; and he gained more speed. Turned aircraft X 20 degrees left about 90 seconds later. Turns were insufficient to maintain separation. Descended aircraft X to FL350. Lost separation before the aircraft leveled at FL350. I tried to finesse aircraft X behind aircraft Y. I was aware of the conflict. My turns were too little based on the speed aircraft X picked up turning out of the wind. I was not busy; and my vectors were not crisp enough to keep the aircraft separated.
