Narrative:
All frequencys were lost; including back-ups. This happened during a very busy period. I was told that airways facilities was working on the frequencys; so when the mains went out I wasn't surprised; but when we lost all communication; it put the sector in an unworkable position. Myself along with my d-side; and with the help of ZTL and the sector next to us; were able to control the situation. The sector was R61; and communications were lost for 30-45 mins. One suggestion is to work on the frequencys when the sector isn't so busy.
