Narrative:

On jun/xa/05 I was assigned the air carrier special item to inspect aft entry door escape slide latch cable routing. A task I had completed several times before. As an apprentice a&P mechanic; I have been trained to doublechk my work. After performing the inspection; I was certain that the aft slide latch cable was routed behind the girt bar. On aug/xa/05 I received a certified letter from the FAA stating the cable was routed incorrectly.
