Narrative:

My flight was cleared for takeoff. While taking the runway; tower advised an inbound helicopter of my flight. The helicopter called us in sight and was cleared to land on the taxiway (or ramp) to the left side of the runway. At vr; when I transitioned from the takeoff roll to climb; I saw the helicopter 1/2 mi off the departure end of the runway; 400 ft AGL; approaching and descending. Immediately upon gear retraction; I leveled off and made a radio call on tower frequency. The helicopter said he had me in sight and still continued descending towards my flight. Due to the low altitude; I was not able to turn. The helicopter passed 100 ft above and 100 ft to my left side. The TCASII never advised due to my flight being on takeoff. The egpws did not sound due to my not descending after takeoff. After clearing the traffic; I initiated a climb while still over the runway clearway. Tower was advised and agreed that this conflict was too close for comfort. This conflict occurred too quickly for my sic to do anything other than clean up the airplane and back me up on the collision avoidance.

Title: GLF4 DEP FROM ISP EXPERIENCED TFC CONFLICT REQUIRING EVASIVE ACTION WITH INBOUND HELI THAT HAD THE GLF4 IN SIGHT.

Narrative: MY FLT WAS CLRED FOR TKOF. WHILE TAKING THE RWY; TWR ADVISED AN INBOUND HELI OF MY FLT. THE HELI CALLED US IN SIGHT AND WAS CLRED TO LAND ON THE TXWY (OR RAMP) TO THE L SIDE OF THE RWY. AT VR; WHEN I TRANSITIONED FROM THE TKOF ROLL TO CLB; I SAW THE HELI 1/2 MI OFF THE DEP END OF THE RWY; 400 FT AGL; APCHING AND DSNDING. IMMEDIATELY UPON GEAR RETRACTION; I LEVELED OFF AND MADE A RADIO CALL ON TWR FREQ. THE HELI SAID HE HAD ME IN SIGHT AND STILL CONTINUED DSNDING TOWARDS MY FLT. DUE TO THE LOW ALT; I WAS NOT ABLE TO TURN. THE HELI PASSED 100 FT ABOVE AND 100 FT TO MY L SIDE. THE TCASII NEVER ADVISED DUE TO MY FLT BEING ON TKOF. THE EGPWS DID NOT SOUND DUE TO MY NOT DSNDING AFTER TKOF. AFTER CLRING THE TFC; I INITIATED A CLB WHILE STILL OVER THE RWY CLEARWAY. TWR WAS ADVISED AND AGREED THAT THIS CONFLICT WAS TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT. THIS CONFLICT OCCURRED TOO QUICKLY FOR MY SIC TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN CLEAN UP THE AIRPLANE AND BACK ME UP ON THE COLLISION AVOIDANCE.
