Narrative:
Cleared visual runway 4R at ord. Intercepting GS from above in open descent; flaps 2 degrees; airspeed assigned 180 KIAS. Got nuisance altitude warning; so altitude window was spun up and was pulled by habit. Power came up; aircraft went into open climb resulting in airspeed quickly increasing to 206 KIAS resulting in flap overspd before corrective action could take place. Aircraft was written up via ACARS and a call was made by the captain. Aircraft was visually checked by maintenance and departed on time.
