Narrative:
On aug/thu/05; I and technician Y went to ZZZ; continued the installation of #3 kruger flap (serial #XXX) on aircraft X that technician Z from previous shift didn't finish. As per the manual; we continued where technician Z left off. I continued to step 19. At step 20 I didn't get the clearance called out; so I brought it to the attention of inspector a and foreman B as to decide next course of action. At the end of the shift; I signed for completing steps 1J to 19 thinking that engineering would give the clearance. I turned the aircraft over to next shift. They couldn't get relief so they removed #3 kruger flap and installed another which was robbed from another aircraft; while leaving my signature for steps I completed on serial #XXX. Note: the reason the clearance didn't meet the amm is because engineering authority/authorized xxxxx was done on serial #XXX. The flap I helped install had stickers with engineering authority/authorized xxxxx stuck to the inside of the flap. The paperwork only shows the original flap removed and the robbed flap installed. I am writing this because paperwork shows me signing for the installation of the robbed flap; which I had no hand in. There is no mention of the removal of serial #XXX by the next shift mechanics.

Title: A B737 TECHNICIAN RPTS REPLACING A LEADING EDGE FLAP AND SIGNING FOR THE REPLACEMENT. RELIEF TECHNICIANS REMOVED FLAP AND REINSTALLED CORRECT FLAP.
Narrative: ON AUG/THU/05; I AND TECHNICIAN Y WENT TO ZZZ; CONTINUED THE INSTALLATION OF #3 KRUGER FLAP (SERIAL #XXX) ON ACFT X THAT TECHNICIAN Z FROM PREVIOUS SHIFT DIDN'T FINISH. AS PER THE MANUAL; WE CONTINUED WHERE TECHNICIAN Z LEFT OFF. I CONTINUED TO STEP 19. AT STEP 20 I DIDN'T GET THE CLRNC CALLED OUT; SO I BROUGHT IT TO THE ATTN OF INSPECTOR A AND FOREMAN B AS TO DECIDE NEXT COURSE OF ACTION. AT THE END OF THE SHIFT; I SIGNED FOR COMPLETING STEPS 1J TO 19 THINKING THAT ENGINEERING WOULD GIVE THE CLRNC. I TURNED THE ACFT OVER TO NEXT SHIFT. THEY COULDN'T GET RELIEF SO THEY REMOVED #3 KRUGER FLAP AND INSTALLED ANOTHER WHICH WAS ROBBED FROM ANOTHER ACFT; WHILE LEAVING MY SIGNATURE FOR STEPS I COMPLETED ON SERIAL #XXX. NOTE: THE REASON THE CLRNC DIDN'T MEET THE AMM IS BECAUSE ENGINEERING AUTH XXXXX WAS DONE ON SERIAL #XXX. THE FLAP I HELPED INSTALL HAD STICKERS WITH ENGINEERING AUTH XXXXX STUCK TO THE INSIDE OF THE FLAP. THERE IS NO MENTION OF THE REMOVAL OF SERIAL #XXX BY THE NEXT SHIFT MECHS.
