Narrative:
Missing tie bolt on main wheel. I did my inspection per the work card; applying in service limits to the tires; and proper inflation. In lieu of what has happened; I plan to be aware in the future. This might not have occurred if the tire check was more detailed. Wheel was replaced on same day prior to flight.

Title: A B757-200 TECHNICIAN RPTS ACCOMPLISHING THE TIRE AND WHEEL INSPECTION JOB CARD AND FAILED TO FIND A MAIN GEAR MISSING TIE BOLT.
Narrative: MISSING TIE BOLT ON MAIN WHEEL. I DID MY INSPECTION PER THE WORK CARD; APPLYING IN SVC LIMITS TO THE TIRES; AND PROPER INFLATION. IN LIEU OF WHAT HAS HAPPENED; I PLAN TO BE AWARE IN THE FUTURE. THIS MIGHT NOT HAVE OCCURRED IF THE TIRE CHK WAS MORE DETAILED. WHEEL WAS REPLACED ON SAME DAY PRIOR TO FLT.
