Narrative:

On the morning of aug/mon/05; I had installed the #5 flap track shroud. After the start of my work shift on the evening of aug/sun/05; I realized that I may have forgotten to install a cotter pin on the castellated nut that holds the #5 flap track shroud in place. I immediately told my lead who then called maintenance control to have the aircraft looked at to see if the cotter pin was installed or not. At around XA30 on aug/wed/05; I was told that there was not a cotter pin installed in the castellated nut. The mechanic who inspected the castellated nut re-torqued and secured the nut with a cotter pin. From now on; I will have to doublechk all my work to make sure everything is secured.
