Narrative:
When clearing write-up engineering order X; I mistakenly thought the wear rate was within limits and the aircraft was released without having the nose landing gear replaced. A revision is being submitted to revise the engineering order to clearly understand what the limits are and what to do afterward.

Title: AN EMB140 ENGINEERING ORDER TO MEASURE LNDG GEAR WEAR LIMITS WAS ACCOMPLISHED AND THE LNDG GEAR WAS FOUND WITHIN LIMITS; WHEN IN FACT IT WAS NOT.
Narrative: WHEN CLRING WRITE-UP ENGINEERING ORDER X; I MISTAKENLY THOUGHT THE WEAR RATE WAS WITHIN LIMITS AND THE ACFT WAS RELEASED WITHOUT HAVING THE NOSE LNDG GEAR REPLACED. A REVISION IS BEING SUBMITTED TO REVISE THE ENGINEERING ORDER TO CLRLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THE LIMITS ARE AND WHAT TO DO AFTERWARD.
