Narrative:

Aircraft X arrived with passenger reporting fuel leaking from overwing fuel port cap. With the evidence of fresh fuel leakage; suspected fuel cap was leaking. Replaced fuel cap; visually inspected fuel cap receptacle; found no evidence of leakage; signed logbook. Aircraft air interrupted again with passenger reporting fuel leaking from same area. Lead technician spoke with maintenance controller and he said to pull aircraft OTS. Maintenance controller called a fuel tank crew field trip. Field trip crew found o-ring damaged.

Title: A B757-200 RETURNED TO THE FIELD AFTER SECOND RPT OF OVERWING FUEL CAP LEAKING. CAP PREVIOUSLY REPLACED. FOUND O-RING SEAL ON CAP DEFECTIVE.

Narrative: ACFT X ARRIVED WITH PAX RPTING FUEL LEAKING FROM OVERWING FUEL PORT CAP. WITH THE EVIDENCE OF FRESH FUEL LEAKAGE; SUSPECTED FUEL CAP WAS LEAKING. REPLACED FUEL CAP; VISUALLY INSPECTED FUEL CAP RECEPTACLE; FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF LEAKAGE; SIGNED LOGBOOK. ACFT AIR INTERRUPTED AGAIN WITH PAX RPTING FUEL LEAKING FROM SAME AREA. LEAD TECHNICIAN SPOKE WITH MAINT CTLR AND HE SAID TO PULL ACFT OTS. MAINT CTLR CALLED A FUEL TANK CREW FIELD TRIP. FIELD TRIP CREW FOUND O-RING DAMAGED.
