Narrative:
Before I came into the shop; the shop received an e-mail from engineering stating that we could use this glue. Later the shop decided that we may need something more appropriate (something in the service order). We contacted engineering; and we never got a fix. We continued to ask for something in the service order. All lavatories and galley on B757 when it comes to glue must have engineering approval until the upcoming burn test can be made. We are still using the same glue; but we have one timers from engineering. We continue to have same issues with laminates as well. The paperwork was incorrect and the process took way too long. The correct service order was unavailable. All parts affected are presently quarantined and awaiting burn test results. Parts have been burn tested; and results are negative (within limits). Engineer to follow up with service order revision allowing use of presently used adhesive.
