Narrative:

Taxiing for departure at bgr; taxied behind learjet; I was #3 taxiing. DC10 took off. I moved to the run-up area; completed run-up checks; taxied back out behind the learjet. Called tower and told them I was ready in sequence. Tower cleared learjet to taxi into position and hold. Then called me and I must have misunderstood. I thought he said 'taxi and cleared to depart.' I thought the operation was out of the normal. When I was at 300 ft AGL; I thought he would ask me to expedite the turn on course; to get out of the learjet's way. But he called the learjet and asked if the cessna just took off in front of him. I called the tower and then asked what the trouble was; and wasn't I cleared. He said no; he was holding departure for wake turbulence. That was the end of the conflict. The rest of the calls were normal for the balance of the flight. The learjet was not lined up on the runway when I departed.
