Narrative:
Marsh harbor; myam; is an uncontrolled bahamian airport. The pattern had; I believe; 4 aircraft planning to land: me; a dash 8; a caravan; and another aztec (my own craft was a PA27U). Everyone was announcing position and intentions. I was closest in on final; the caravan and aztec in good distance for straight-in approachs behind me; and the dash 8 in a left downwind. I landed on the field and had to taxi about 3/4 of the way down to exit. As I cleared the runway and announced that I had done so; I looked back to my left to see the dash 8 already on the runway not 100 yards behind me. I cleared the taxiway and parked without incident. Others on the ramp witnessed the event and were equally stunned. I did not get the registration of the aircraft; as they de-boarded passenger with the right propeller spinning and took back off again while I was still in customs. The call that the dash 8 made from downwind was the last one I heard them make. I learned a good lesson though: the bahamas is not the united states! If I am in the pattern (uncontrolled) with another air carrier Y aircraft; I will be more than happy to continue in the pattern while they land first!
